candlestick park last saturday. it was one of several attack that has day. necessity continue to search for witnesses to two shootings in the parking lot. all the victims are recovering slowly. it led to changes in the stadium including stepped up security and where fans can drink. changes will take place in saturday's night game against houston. 49ers are asking to cancel with pre-season games. anybody with information on these crimes are asked to call san francisco police. fremont police have arrested several suspects in connection with a string of robberies. officers including members of s.w.a.t. team searched homes on the city's border with newark. officials won't say how many they took into custody and they are not releasing any specifics of the robberies.

12%. he needs to pick up support from at least two republicans in each house to get the plan passed into law which he failed to do in his state budget fight earlier this year. the obama administration is considering further action to help strengthen the housing market. one proposal would allow homeowners to refinance them at lowest interest rates which are about 4%. another plan, a home rental program, to stabilize housing prices by preventing foreclosed homes from flooding the market. it would lower mortgage bills right away and allow people to spend elsewhere but despite record low interest rates, many have not refinanced their loans because they owe more money than the house is worse. >> warren buff set coming to the rescue of the struggling bank of america.

giants slugger barry bonds and his defense team will return to court to try to convince a federal court to set aside his conviction for obstruction of justice. bonds' lawyers have raised concerns about the instructions jurors got before determining his fate. they say bonds was really guilty of giving a rambling answer. prosecutors may also reveal today if they plan to retry bonds on the perjury charges. they claimed he committed perjury when he was telephoning before a federal grand jury. to the battle of libya, a spokesperson for moammar khadafy he says he is leading the fight against the rebels. khadafy is safe and his morale is high. this file video of khadafy. he called on libyans to destroy the rebels. in a statement and brief

a rough night in the bahamas as hurricane irene, 115 mile-an-hour winds pounded the island chain. they are taking aim in the east coast. hurricane watch is in effect in north carolina where 200,000 residents and tourists are facing evacuation orders. >> we are asking people all over eastern north carolina to take

could cause major damage with flooding, rain, fresh water rain and storm and winds on top of that. it's going to head towards cape hatteras sometime saturday afternoon. then it will keep chugging up and the peninsula sometime sunday morning as it hold together right through the heart of new york, right through the city itself as a minor hurricane maybe a strong tropical storm. winds around 70-80 miles an hour that could cause a lot of damage. back home, you see around santa cruz, cloudy. expecting sunshine to break out around the bay around 2:00. you can see how the clouds are erasing from the inland neighborhoods and patch or two around the coast. temperatures running in the 60s and coast in the 50s. on monterey bay, upper 50s to mid-60s even a 76 with sunshine
